Polyglot provides a quality translation service in four major languages –English –Arabic –French –German. Translation work is undertaken by bilingual experts and may range from short, single documents such as certificates, to longer items such as medical reports from abroad, or even complete works such as magazines or books.

For several years now, Polyglot has undertaken the English to Arabic translation for the London – based company International Systems and Communications Ltd., which produces quality, hard-back, customized books such as the GCC annual publication and a 25-year commemorative publication about the U.A.E.

The Polyglot logo “Peace through mutual understanding” is reflected in this little book about Dubai, written by Diana and Mohammad Al Mawed as part of a national curriculum reading project for British and world-wide schools, commissioned by the educational publishing company, Longman.

 The authors felt that it would provide a good opportunity to promote awareness amongst schoolchildren around the world about Dubai, its culture and its people. They chose the girls’ school in al Khawaneej to represent a school in a desert location and the book looks at the life and customs of the children at that school, and at how they are affected by their geographical location.

 The book contains material at three different reading levels for children aged 7 – 11, and provides useful reading practice for both native speakers and learners of English.
